Change your default date separator in Excel

Some people like to use a period (.) when they separate their dates instead of a slash (/). For example, you might prefer 4.15.2012 instead of 4/15/2012. If you're tired of creating a custom number format that accommodates your desired date format, try changing Windows' default date separator.
